When You Have Been Told…

R

Your age explains why you have not conceived.

R

Being over 40 means your eggs are poor quality.

R

Natural conception is now unlikely or impossible.

R

You can’t conceive if you are in perimenopause

R

You need to move directly to IVF.

R

Previous treatment failure means there is little more you can do.

R

Donor eggs may be your only realistic option.

R

Egg quality is fixed, there is nothing meaningful you can do yourself.

When a miscarriage has been attributed to your age or egg quality without testing, you can be left wondering what that means for another pregnancy.

Your age raises the risk of chromosome errors. It does not tell us that every egg you develop will have one.

You need something you can put into practice with the time you have. The egg approaching ovulation is biologically active and still developing — and its requirement for energy and nutrients continues throughout that development.

Your Egg Is Biologically Active Even After 40

Before ovulation, the egg must complete a stage of maturation that includes separating its chromosomes. Errors become more common with age, and an egg with the wrong number of chromosomes can result in an embryo that stops developing or a pregnancy that ends in miscarriage.

That process requires cellular energy. Mitochondria — the structures inside the egg that convert nutrients into usable energy — help supply it. The cells surrounding the egg also process and supply nutrients throughout its development.

Your egg also has DNA-repair systems that help maintain its genetic material. Several proteins involved in this repair become less abundant with age.

Protein, essential fats, vitamins and minerals contribute to energy production, cell structure and protection from damage. Nourishing your developing egg means supplying these needs consistently.

Your partner’s sperm contributes half your baby’s DNA. After fertilisation, repair machinery supplied by the egg can also act on DNA damage carried by sperm. This places a further demand on the egg during the earliest stages of embryo development.

High levels of sperm DNA damage have been linked with poorer embryo development and lower pregnancy rates in women over 40 undergoing IVF with sperm injection.

Your age can be part of the explanation while your partner’s sperm also contributes to the outcome. The protocol is designed to nourish your developing eggs and your partner’s sperm, with precise macronutrient and micronutrient targets translated into daily meals and portions for both of you.

Your Menstrual Cycle Is Not Your Fertility Cycle

The egg that is released this month has been developing for around 90 days before ovulation. Next month’s egg is already within that same developmental window. Sperm production follows a similar 90-day cycle. Reproductive physiology does not reset every 28 days. Nutrition has a daily role in that 90-day developmental process — not just a single month. This protocol gives structure to that continuous process.

Built by a Functional Fertility Practitioner

I’m Claire Burrows, accredited Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach and founder of Now Baby, with over 20,000 hours of experience supporting couples navigating fertility challenges.

Over my 20 plus years doing this, I have seen too many women left with “it’s your age” as the explanation, while the nutritional needs of their developing eggs and their partner’s sperm go unaddressed. When every month matters, you deserve more than that.

I designed this protocol to give you a precise way to nourish that development now. Every recipe serves a purpose: defined macronutrient and micronutrient targets, blood sugar stability and sustained nourishment during the months before conception. My expertise is in the nutritional detail; your next step is a meal you can prepare, with the ingredients and portions already specified for both of you.

Trying for a First Baby at 40

Trying to start a family at 40, I felt I had no time to lose. Even though I ate well and exercised, after 7 months there was no sign of a positive test. My husband travels for work and he saw the biggest difference starting this plan because his food became intentional instead of whatever he could grab on the road. His belly fat started to reduce initially, then we were pregnant after just 2 months. So happy to have not needed IVF.”

Preparing Together for a Second Baby

We had our first baby when I was 38 without hardly trying so it was hard when were waiting for our second for over a year. Even though there was a sperm issue the IVF clinic kept pointing to my age. IVF was not an option due to my work schedule so we tried this nutrition plan. We were pregnant within a couple of months, I even got my VBAC which I was thrilled about because it made me feel easier about trying for baby #3 who was later conceived easily following the same plan.

Designed Around Fertility Physiology

Fertility supplements supply individual nutrients. This protocol sets out what to eat, how much and when, including a minimum of 90 g of protein daily, distributed through the day. You follow specified meals and portions, without having to calculate each nutrient yourself.

  • Dairy free Reduce inflammatory load and optimise mineral balance during follicular and sperm development.
  • Added Sugar free Protect insulin signalling and downstream reproductive hormones.
  • Caffeine conscious Reduce unnecessary stress load on adrenal and reproductive pathways.
  • High fibre Support microbiome diversity for embryo implantation support.
  • Nutrient dense Designed around defined fertility nutrient targets for both partners.
  • Blood sugar balancing Stabilise metabolic input that influences ovulation, sperm quality and implantation environment.

This is where structured fertility nutrition changes the equation.

What you'll receive

Your 157-page digital protocol includes:

R

A complete 90-day structure for both partners aligned with the months in which the eggs for upcoming cycles and your partner’s sperm are developing.

R

Daily menus and recipes designed around defined fertility macronutrient and micronutrient targets including a minimum of 90 g of protein daily — not generic healthy eating.

R

Blood sugar stability embedded into every day with protein, fibre, carbohydrates and fats combined to support glucose regulation, ovulation and sperm quality.

R

Nutritional support beyond ovulation including the needs of the uterine lining, implantation and early embryo development.

R

Batch-cooking options, planned leftovers and freezer notes reducing the daily planning and cooking load.

R

One complete protocol for both partners using the same everyday meals.

Structured Beyond Ovulation

Ovulation is not the finish line.

Implantation requires adequate folate status, iron regulation, zinc, iodine, selenium and vascular support.

Early embryonic development increases demand again.

This protocol is structured to support:

• Endometrial receptivity
• Vascular development
• Hormone signaling stability
• Early neural and organ development nutrient demands

You are not just preparing an egg.
You are preparing an environment.

As you make progress, you may notice

  • More stable energy through the day, with fewer afternoon slumps.
  • Feeling more alert.
  • Less menstrual discomfort, where present.
  • Reduced waist circumference — larger waist measurements are linked to more visceral fat and a greater likelihood of erectile dysfunction in men.
  • Greater confidence about what to eat — and why.
  • A renewed sense of purpose and hope.

Practical Questions

What if I have allergies or dietary restrictions?
Many of the top allergens are already excluded however, any meal can be swapped for a different meal without the allergen.
Are the ingredients easy to find?

The protocol uses normal supermarket ingredients.

No specialty fertility foods.
No obscure health-shop hunting.

The precision is in how the foods are combined — not in exotic sourcing.

Will this fit around a busy life?

The protocol is built for real lives.

Batch-friendly meals.
Leftovers that carry forward nutrient density.
Structured repetition that reduces decision fatigue.

You are not meant to spend hours in the kitchen.
You are meant to support egg and sperm development efficiently.

Trying to conceive already takes energy.
The protocol protects it.

What if there is something I don't like?

You do not need to love every ingredient.

The meals are structured around nutrient intent — iron, choline, omega-3s, iodine, zinc, blood sugar stability.

The simplest way to manage it is to swap a like for like meal rather than swapping a single ingredient, i.e. fish for fish.

This is not a diet you “stick to.”
It is a blueprint you apply.

You don’t need to overhaul your life to start. You need one complete, evidence-informed structure — built around egg and sperm development, not guesswork. Decide within 7 days of purchase. If the protocol isn’t right for you, email us for a full refund.
